Victor Theodore "Tito" Seales was born on June 21, 1952 in Panama, Republic of Panama. He was the first born to Mildred Seales Tynes and Carol Franklyn Tynes, Jr. who preceded him in death.
Tito came to the United States at the age of 2 years old. At the time of his arrival in 1954, Tito was fluent in Spanish and spoke no English. His formal education began at St Peter's Day School where he was given a solid foundation to matriculate to Douglass School, and later Key West High School. Tito was a proud graduate of the Class of 1970 and was very active in sports. He played Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball.
Immediately after graduation, Tito joined the US Anny and served honorably for 7 years. He was a recipient of the GI Bill and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from the University of Southern California (USC). He later earned a Barber's License.
Tito began his professional career in Los Angeles, California as a U.S Postal employee, he also worked for numerous private security firms in Los Angeles and Houston, Texas. In 1986 he returned to Key West for a short while and then later moved permanently to Houston, Texas.
Tito had a passion for numbers and statistics and always remembered birthdays of family and friends. He had a photographic memory and could recall any fact related to numbers. He shared many stories with family and friends about the stats and all-time records of famous athletes in all sports.
Tito was a sharp dresser and enjoyed wearing a matching hat with each ensemble. He was a giving person with a kind heart. He loved Key West and frequently reminisced about his life experiences there.
On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Tito transitioned to his heavenly home. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother Mildred Tynes; sisters, Phyllis Tynes (Enrique) and Isa Matthews (Issac); three sons, Ian Shine, (Shenell), Lubbock Texas; Victor Theodore Seales, Jr. and Antonio Victor Seales (Jasmine Chiani) both from Houston, Texas. Six grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Antonio, Jr., Jerimiah, Leighton and Robyn; favorite cousins Edina Bell and Margot Curry; nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, special friend Alice Manning and lifelong friends Gloria, Zera and Joe.
A Memorial service will be held on July 3, 2023 at Key West Mortuary 328 Truman Avenue Key West, FL.
