Perfecto Sanchez, Jr., and Rose Valdes Sanchez were married for more than 57 years and passed away within weeks of each other in Key West. Rose, 75, was born in San Antonio Los Banos, Cuba, on January 24,1950, and passed away on September 2, 2025, at home in Key West.

She built her life around Perfecto, her family, her business and her church in Key West for more than 35 years. Rose was a true lady in every sense of the word. Her greatest business accomplishment was partnering with her two sons at Century 21, and a lasting legacy was her instrumental work in starting and stabilizing the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel at The Basilica of St. Mary's Star of the Sea.

Her greatest loves were her Lord and Savior, Jesus, her husband and forever love, Perfecto, sons, Danny and Ralph, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, grandchildren, Olivia, Alyse, and Golden Retriever Sanchy, and The Basilica of St. Mary's and the perpetual adoration chapel. She especially loved her many church travels with her son, Danny. After raising two sons, she found exceptional pleasure and joy doting on her granddaughters throughout their lives.

She is survived by her sons, grandchildren, brothers, Daniel and Diosado Valdes and numerous family members and friends that will miss her dearly.

A funeral mass for Rose and Perfecto will be held Friday, September 12th, at 3 p.m. in the garden of The Basilica of St. Mary's Star of the Sea.
