In Loving memory of Ronald E. Bailey Sr.

We have lost a beautiful, sweet soul. One that radiated the love of Christ to everyone he met. Ronald E. Bailey Sr., Ronny or RB as he was known to family and friends, a 6th generation Conch was born October 16,1955 in Key West. He passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at his home in Eustis FL with his wife by his bedside. Ronny was an encouraging friend to many. He treated everyone the same with love and compassion. He had a strong enduring faith in his Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and worked to spread His Light thru peace, love and joy- fruit of the spirit Ephesians 5:22.

Ronny was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. Preceded in death by his mother Faye Y Bailey, father William Bailey, brother Ricky Bailey and sister Donna Ray. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Stephanie (Cowan) Bailey, his son Ronald E Bailey Jr. (wife Malai), his brother Jimmy Bailey and his grandchildren, Ryan Bailey, Regan Bailey and Summer Bailey. Also leaving behind his nieces Tanya Ray, Melinda Foell (husband Jeremy Foell) and nephew Maurice Ray-their children Hayley Ray, Zach Parnell, Colton Foell, Cameron Foell and Lylian Ray, plus numerous extended family members all of whom he adored deeply.

Ronny was a self-employed carpenter for over 35 years before becoming a folk artist. He loved his hometown Key West and had a passion for the preservation of Old Town and the simple life back in the day. He spent many years fine tuning his carpentry skills on renovations of the old homes. When he wasn't working, he was hitting home runs on the softball field or fishing and diving on the waters. Later in life he began making his artwork. This became his passion-combining the fond memories of his childhood and hometown with his carpentry skills resulting in his fabulous miniatures and even some carvings.

Ronny's fierce battle with his cancer has ended. He has gone to his home in heaven. His shining light is no more on this earth, and it is a bit darker now. He will be missed by many.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, 2:00 - 4:00 PM and a funeral service immediately following at the Key West Mortuary Funeral Home 328 Truman Avenue Key West, FL.
