Perfecto Sanchez, Jr., and Rose Valdes Sanchez were married for more than 57 years and passed away within weeks of each other in Key West.

Perfecto, 81, was born in Regla, Cuba, on February 21, 1944, and passed away on July 27, 2025, at home in Key West. Perfecto too was known for his love of his family first, followed by the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Marlins. He loved spending time with his family and working in his yard.

He spent a number of years working as Manager of Winn Dixie and later years working at Duncan Ford and Morrison's Sales and Services. He loved Corvettes as much as he loved making his famous ropa vieja for family Sunday night dinners. He had a great sense of humor and loved to dance and was better than anyone out there.

Perfecto is loved and survived by sons, Danny and Ralph (Jennifer), granddaughters, Olivia and Alyse and his furry grandson, Sanchy. He is also survived by his brother Pedro Sanchez (Ann) as well as numerous friends and family. Although he will be missed, his memory leaves a lasting impression on his family and all his friends and those that knew him.

A funeral mass for Rose and Perfecto will be held Friday, September 12th, at 3 p.m. in the garden of The Basilica of St. Mary's Star of the Sea.
