Norma Martinez
Renner
December 17, 1932 – May 5, 2025
Norma Martinez Renner went to our Lord on Monday evening May 5, 2025, in Lake Wales, FL. Norma was born in Key West, FL on December 17, 1932. She was a graduate of the Convent of Mary Immaculate and attended Barry College in Miami. Norma was married to Richard Renner for 69 years and spent her life in Key West FL raising a family. Her calling was to be an artist and an opportunity to came up to join The Guild Hall Gallery where she displayed her woodcarvings, she was very creative and successful. She and my Father decided to leave Key West to be closer to her children. Norma was a very loving wife, Mother of three children, grandmother of four, great grandmother of two. Her parents were, Eugene Martinez and Conch Martinez, her sister Dora Haskins.
Norma was a pilar of strength not only for her family but the community as well. Together with her friends, Nancy Cooper and Donna Dean they gave their time going to Hospitals and the Nursing Home providing the Holy Eucharist to those who were Catholic, praying with the sick and offering spiritual guidance. With the authority from the Pastor, Norma and Donna Dean restored the panting on the wall to the right and left of the main alter of the Basilica Saint Mary Star of the Sea. The three of them also took part in raising funds for the Rosary Garden in the Grotto. Those who knew Norma, were drawn to her by her kindness and willingness to listen and make a person's day a little brighter. She was very loving always laughing ready to help in any way she could.
Norma is survived by her daughter Carol Renner Bordash, daughter AnnMarie Renner, granddaughter Cayla Renner Ross, son Richard August Renner, grandson Chase Renner, grandson Kyle Renner, granddaughter Bailey Renner. Her love and laughter will carry on with each of us. We will carry her memory on in our hearts. She will be missed by each one of us.
