Mercedes "Mercedita" Quesada of Key West, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on August 2, 2025 at Lower Keys Medical Center. She was born in Santiago de Las Vegas, Cuba on May 26, 1938 to the late Jose and Maria Santana.

She loved country music and also Spanish music by Juan Gabriel and Luis Miguel. She enjoyed going dancing in her younger days with her longtime partner Joe "Pepe" Bierro, and brother and sister-in-law George and Edna Santana.

She was preceded in death by her father Jose Santana, her mother Maria Santana and beloved son Marcus "Mikie" Quesada. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jose Santana, Jr. and Julio Santana.

She is survived by her two beloved sons, Armando "Mundy" Quesada and Richard "Richie" Quesada, a brother, George Santana (Edna), granddaughter Misty Quesada and grandson Richard. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
