Mrs. Marie Rush, affectionately known as "Mrs. Puddin", was born September 7, 1941, in Doddsville, Mississippi. God called her home on May 3, 2024. Marie was raised by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Lee Neal.

Marie came to Florida in 1966, with her mother and her two brothers, to work and to raise her children. She worked at Royal Castle, Ted and Marg's, and then at Fishermen's Hospital for approximately 12 years in the Housekeeping Department. She later started working as a caretaker for the Nunns. She worked for them 28 years and then retired.

Marie is preceded in death by her mother Sarah Lee Neal; her brothers, Lloyd Allen Davis and Henry Lee Campbell; her son, Frank Able Rush; her niece, Cassandra Ann Kitchen; and her stepfather, Willie T. Flukers.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Betty M. Cooper; her son, Eddie Lee Rush, Sr. (Diane); 3 granddaughters, Trellis S. Jones, Marquieta V. White and Shaneka Jones; 1 grandson, Eddie Lee Rush, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren, Zaria and Zion Jester; 4 nieces, Angela Davis, Kim Campbell, Tina Campbell and Rosa Campbell; 1 nephew, Kenyatta Scott, Sr.; 1 grandnephew, Kenyatta Scott, Jr.; Kendrix and Kiara Kitchen, Dominique and Sasha; 11 great grandnieces and great grandnephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.
