Lourdes was born in Key West on October 5, 1966, during Hurricane Inez to loving parents, the late Alex Rodriguez and Hilda Rodriguez. Today we celebrate the life of our loved one, Lourdes Maria Inez Rodriguez-Restrepo, an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and good friend to many.  Our dear Lourdes, affectionately known as "Luli" by her family, has gone to be in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 in Miami, FL.

As a native Conch, she attended elementary and middle school in Key West.  Our beloved Lourdes is survived by her wonderful son, and greatest blessing, Diego Henry Restrepo, her mother, Hilda Rodriguez, her brother George Rodriguez, and sisters Hilda Oropeza, Alexys Rodriguez, and Delfi Rodriguez.  She adored her 9 nieces and nephews and 7 great- nieces and nephews.  Lourdes loved her closest friends with a big heart.

Lourdes earned a bachelor's degree from Florida International University and became a highly respected professional court reporter within the Miami-Dade County Courts system. She was also a proud supporter of the Pigeon Key Project.

In her spiritual life, Lourdes was a faithful Catholic woman serving in the homeless ministry, and as a bible teacher to Special Needs children with Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, FL.

Lourdes will be deeply missed by her entire family who all cherished and loved her. We will forever miss her unique laughter, beautiful smile, and mostly her loving heart.

Viewing will be Wednesday, August 21st, 2024 from 9 am to 12 noon at the Key West Mortuary Chapel. Immediately afterwards, the funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church at 1 pm.  Entombment will be at the Key West City Cemetery Catholic section.
