Life's journey began for Johnny Taylor Sr. on January 4th,1954. He was the son of Lizzie Taylor and the late Antonio Kee. Johnny grew up in Key West, Florida and was known by everyone in the commu­nity. He loved his family dearly, lived his life to the fullest and was caring and compassionate to everyone he interacted with. He was always willing to give a helping hand when needed.

Johnny was a hard worker and worked at various jobs in Key West. He was a very devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins football team and enjoyed listening to music, dancing and doing karate.

On July 31, 2023 at 5:20 am GOD called our beloved Johnny home and told him it was time to finally rest. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lula and Nelson Lee; (1) brother; Calvin Jackson; (7) uncles, Stephen, George, Jessie, Nelson Lee, Joseph, Franklin and John Kee Sr.; (3) aunts: Pearl Rivas, Yula "Galley'' Dasilva and Roselee Kee.

Johnny Sr. leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his loving devoted mother; Lizzie Taylor (Boston, GA); (4) children, Johnny Taylor Jr. (Latryce) (Key West, FL), Sherrie Taylor (Key West, FL), Antonio Taylor (Ft. Meyers, FL) and Romanette Thurston (Jessica) (Brunswick, GA); (6) grandchildren: Katravis Thurston (Texas), Vanayce & Rodolfo Velasquez (Key West, FL), Kerstyn Taylor, Clinton Harris Jr. (Key West, FL) and Layla Rae Taylor (Ft. Myers, FL); (5) great-grand­ children: Ja'onny Velasquez (Key West, FL), Va'Lenna and Kai'Lena Dean (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Kaycee and Caiden Barnett (Key West, FL); (1) brother: Donald Taylor (Brenda) (Boston, GA); (1) niece: Thomi­ka Taylor (Delores) (Ruskin, FL); (4) aunts: Annie McGowen (Arthur) (Ft. Lauder­dale, FL), Rosemary Lee (Bobby) (Key West, FL), Rose Marie Kee (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and Ernestine Curry (Key West, FL); (3) uncles: Charles Lee (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Joseph Lee (Alberta) (Chicago, IL) and Leo Rivas (Homestead, FL); (2) very special devoted and loving cousins: Lisa Kee Channer (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and Nicole Wells (Key West, FL). Johnny also leaves to cherish his memory numerous other cousins and friends.
